PRESIDENTIAL ELECTORS.
At length the great question which agitated the public mind, is decided. The House of Representatives of this state have agreed to the last bill on this subject, from the Senate. In consequence of this the two Houses met yesterday in Convention in the Chamber of the House of Representatives. The Speaker of the Senate presided. Eight persons were nominated on each side. The federal nomination consisted of Frederick Kuhn, Jas. Armstrong, George Ege, Robert Coleman, John Hubley, William Hall, Samuel W. Fisher, and James Crawford, esq. Those nominated on the democratic side, were Robert Whitehill, Samuel Wetherill, John Kean, Jonas Hartzell, Gabriel Hiester, Presley Carr Lane, Nathaniel B. Boileau, & Isaac Van Horne. As by the bill only seven of the Senate's nomination were to be appointed electors, the democrats all opposed Mr. Coleman, and he was consequently thrown out.
