Fred Cody An American In Charge Of British Aviation Work Flies Across Country 47 Miles In 50 Minutes.

London, Sept. 8.—Fred Cody, the American aeronaut in charge of the aviation work of the British war office, broke all records for aeroplane speed today by flying 47 miles across the county in fifty minutes. The flight started at Aldershot and was timed by several watches. The aeroplane is of his own invention which he claims steadies itself automatically. Cody is now in great favor with the war office.
