BOARD OF SUPERVISORS.—The Board met yesterday, Supervisors Lowery and Gregory being present, and ordered that a Committee consisting of Wm. Gregory, John A. Paxton and J. H. Tennent, be appointed to examine into and report to an adjourned meeting of the Board, to be held on the 5th January, the practicability of the County's purchasing the Yuba, Foster's Bar Branch and South Branch Turnpike roads, or so much of said roads as are within this county. The said Committee are authorized to inquire into and report as to the condition of the roads, the probable expenditures per annum to keep them in repair: the amount of money now realized by tolls upon each road during the dry and rainy seasons; the cost at which said roads can be had, and generally to report upon all matters relating to the policy of purchasing them for the county.
