France Recalls 60,000 Reservists On Account Of North Africa Disorders

PARIS, (A) - France recalled 60,000 young reservists to the colors today to bolster her forces in Morocco and Algeria, strained by nationalist uprising over the weekend.

At the same time Premier Faure and President Coty hurried to Paris for urgent consultations on consequences of the clashes which took an estimated 2,000 lives.

France already has an estimated 125,000 troops in Algeria and more in Morocco.

Meanwhile, there was relative quiet in French North Africa as French troops continued cleanup operations.
