Extract of a Letter from Liverpool, dated March 15.

This Morning about ten a'Clock, it began very suddenly to blow a more violent Gale of Wind than has been known these twenty Years: Six outward-bound Foreigners are put ashore from the Rock, and as many opposite to the Town, one Vessel has ran thro' the middle of another, and several keel upwards; Chimneys down in almost every Street of the Town, large Buildings destroyed, Numbers of People drowned, and many sadly hurt. I had almost forgot to tell you that near twenty Foot of St. Thomas's Steeple was blown into the Church.
