PHILADELPHIA.-
Firemen of
truck company 5 went to a fire by
trolley and police car.
The men were responding to an
alarm when their hook and ladder
truck broke down.
Lt. Ralph Miracle flagged a pass-
ing trolley, explained the situation
to the motorman and command-
eered the trolley.
After three blocks, the firemen
abandoned the trolley in favor of a
squad car.
When they arrived, however, oth-
