MEETING AT PIERRE
CAPT. I. P. BAKER AND PRESIDENT WILLIAMS WILL REPRESENT BISMARCK.
Many matters of interest to river men will be discussed—Large attendance expected.
Capt. I. P. Baker of the Benton Transportation Co., operating a line of boats on the north Missouri river, and President E. A. Williams of the Bismarck city commission, left Tuesday morning on No. 6 for Pierre, S. D., where they will attend the spring meeting of the Missouri River Navigation congress. It is expected there will be a large attendance at this meeting as it comes at a time of the year when all parties interested in the work on the river are enthusiastic over the year's prospective business.
There will be many matters of interest discussed and it is expected that resolutions will be drawn and presented to the proper authorities regarding the expenditure of the money appropriated by the present congress for the improvement of the upper part of the river.
The Tribune will keep its readers informed as to the progress of events at the coming meeting.
