Warns Nation's Doctors
Against New Peril

PHILADELPHIA, (A)—Dr. David B. Allman, president of the American Medical Assn., yesterday urged the nation's organized doctors to fight a "new peril" to their professional freedom.

He called upon all AMA members to wage a local-action campaign to enlist support of their communities against proposed national legislation which he declared would mark "the beginning of the end of the private practice of medicine" in this country.

Specifically, he urged the doctors to campaign against a proposal introduced in the 85th Congress by Rep. Forand (D-RI).
