Mr. Selden, the honest and able representative in Congress from the city of New York, has resigned his seat in Congress, and addressed his constituents in reference to his course during the last session. In resigning his seat, Mr. S. has placed his conduct before the people and thrown himself upon them for trial, willing to abide their verdict, which will undoubtedly be—"well done thou good and faithful servant:" whether he will be sustained or not, will be determined at the ensuing election.—New Bedford Mercury.
