STORM DOES A LITTLE DAMAGE IN THE COUNTY

A little cyclone struck the Jeffersons and most sections of the county Monday night, took off the front porch from Ed Woodie's home here, blew down large trees and caused right much damage to corn fields.

The cloud rose quickly and without much warning, and lasted for about an hour. The twisting, high winds also brought a heavy downpour of rain.

Ex-sheriff Joe Hampton reported that the storm was pretty bad in his community, but that no severe damage was done.

Hail fell in some parts of this section and did a little damage.
