FOR GRAND JURY
Calvin Ike George, 20, unemployed resident of Mt. Edgecumbe, was held for action of the grand jury by U. S. commissioner Frank Richards this morning.
At his arraignment on a charge of burglary, on a complaint signed by Charles Johnstone, deputy U. S. marshal, he waived counsel, preliminary hearing or making of a statement.
The complaint alleged the incident took place Sept. 6 at an apartment in Mt. Edgecumbe, when Mr. George broke into a family home in which was present at the time a 16-year-old minor girl.
Mr. George was remanded to the custody of the U. S. marshal with bail set at $3500.
