Frozen to Death
Portsmouth, N. H., Feb. 17.—
Cornelius T. Mara, 37, boss welder
at the Navy Yard, was found frozen
to death on the Little Harbor road
today. The morning was the cold-
est of the season, 12 below. The
discovery was made by small boys,
who notified the police.
The medical referee stated that
Mara had been dead several hours.
Neighbors report that they had
heard cries for assistance earlier in
the day, but did not investigate.
Mara leaves a widow and two sons.
