NOME, Alaska, Nov. 29 (UP) - A plane fully equipped for a flight to Siberia to search for Lieut. Ben Eielson, well-known flying explorer in the Arctic who has been missing eighteen days, arrived at Teller tonight from Fairbanks.
The plane, piloted by Joe Crosson of Alaska Airways, Inc., which had secured Eielson as its vice president, completed a non-stop flight from Fairbanks here. Fifteen minutes later Crosson departed, anxious to rescue his associate.
Flying conditions at Teller were good and Crosson hoped to leave Saturday for Siberia.
JUNEAU, Alaska, Nov. 29 (UP) - A message received by Territorial Governor George A. Parks today said that pilots of two Soviet planes who had intended to search for Eielson, noted aviator, and Earl Borland, his mechanic, missing 13 days, tentatively have cancelled their plans. There was no reason given for the action.
