FAST SAILING.
KATSKILL, (N. Y.) FEB. 7. The Ice boat John Burtus, run from Athens, on Friday last, to Albany, in one hour and thirty two minutes, including a stop of fifteen minutes at New Baltimore, from which place to Albany, sixteen miles, she ran in twenty two minutes! This boat is of a triangular shape, with two parallel runners, a rudder, bowsprit, mainsail and jib. With a strong wind, it will sail with the greatest velocity, either before the wind or against it, with ten persons on board.
