Mrs. Chas. Byrd, spent Tuesday in Arcadia.
Miss Courtney Mizelle is visiting her sister in Minden.
Mrs. W. H. Lazarus is visiting relatives in Mississippi.
Little George Williams is visiting his uncle at Bear Creek.
Hon. Foster Taylor, of Arcadia, was a visitor here Monday.
Mr. Glen Fleming, of Laurel, Miss., is visiting homefolks here.
Mrs. Johnnie Edwards, of Bradley Ark., is visiting relatives here.
Miss Lily Holdman is attending the Normal at Natchitoches this summer.
Mr. J. H. Houck and son, John Jr. were visitors to Shreveport last week.
Miss Kate Bolin, who has been teaching at Vivian, is at home for vacation.
Will Colbert has accepted the position as manager of the Gibsland Oil Mill.

Mr. and Mrs. Baton Stall have returned from a visit to relatives at Montgomery.
Miss Kathleen Henry, of Houston Texas, was the guest of Miss Clyde Kidd, last week.
Mrs. Carl Brown has returned to her home at Haynesville after a visit to her parents here.
Miss Jewel McGuire, of Arcadia, was the guest of Miss Gladys Broadwell a few days last week.
Miss Maud Rhodes has returned from the southern part of the state where she visited relatives.
Mrs. Preause Broadwell and little daughter, of Shreveport, were guests of relatives here this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Luther Martin, of Athens, are guests of their parents Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Martin.
Misses Sue Whitley, of Shreveport, and Leona Whitley, of Luddington, are guests of their parents here.
Miss Margaret Rhodes of Dallas, Texas, is the guest of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Rhodes.
Mrs. Nina Harrison Pemble was brought home from the Sanitarium last week. She stood the trip well, but is yet very weak.
Miss Mollie Smith and little nephew Aubrey Baker, left Sunday for Alabama where they will spend the summer with relatives.
Mrs. Bettie Harrison Henry and children, after a fortnight's visit here, have returned to their home in the southern part of the state.
Misses Blanche Phillips, Margaret Parnell, Ruth McCain and Elaine Burleigh went to Taylor Saturday to attend Miss Dot Copeland's birthday party.
Mrs. G. D. Purcell after spending several days here the guest of relatives, returned to her home at Ida Monday accompanied by her sister, Mrs. E. L Cargill, who will spend awhile in her home.
The Ant and Bee contest given by the Woman's Missionary Society of the Methodist Church closed June 1st. The Ants were successful in winning the contest, and were entertained by the Bees very delightfully at the home of Mrs. J. P. Jones Monday afternoon.
The parlor and dining room were beautifully decorated with choice cut flowers, the gift of friends
Miss Myrtle Jones, who is a gifted musician, added greatly to the pleasure of the guests by rendering pretty piano selections. A vocal duet was given by Misses Ruth Byrd and Pauline Jones accompanied by Miss Myrtle. Victrola music was also enjoyed. A flower contest proved very interesting. Miss Myrtle Jones, being the successful contestant was awarded a bouquet of flowers.
A salad course with iced tea was served.
