The fall and winter planning conference for board and committee members of the Newark YMCA, will be held in Harbor Hills, Sunday, Sept. 29, in the home of Dr. J. W. Barker, president of the YMCA. The session will be held between the hours of 3:30 and 8:30 p. m.
All board and committee members of the YMCA and presidents and advisors of YMCA clubs are invited to attend.
Roy A. Cochran, general program chairman will preside. Following a welcome by the host, Dr. J. W. Barker, John Sessions, associate executive of the Ohio Areas, Council of YMCA's will address the gathering. His subject will be "The Purposes Underlying YMCA Program."
Champe J. Stoakes will talk on the YMCA functions through committees. At six o'clock the group will enjoy a buffet supper followed by a five minute summary of each committee chairman. Grover Patterson of the Toledo Blade, Toledo, Ohio, will also address the group.
The various committees and their chairmen are as follows: Boy's Work, Frew C. Boyd; Women & Girls Work, John Sessions; Men's Work, Roy A. Cochran; Public Relations, Arthur Shepard; Membership and Finance. C. D. Rankin: Industrial Program, R. L. Dickinson; Church Cooperation, E. S. Randolph; The YMCA of the Future, H. J. Lowe.
