The two secretaries of state have, by order of his majesty, given the most positive and unequivocal assurances to the Russian and Swedish ambassadors, that it is the confirmed intention of the British court to observe a strict neutrality in the present dispute between Russia and Sweden; and will any vessels whatever be permitted to be fitted out in any of the ports of Great Britain for the purposes of war, other neighboring courts continuing to observe the same conduct.
By letters received from Stockholm, via Holland, it appears, that his Swedish majesty had passed on the 22d ult. the river Kymen, and continued his march immediately for Wyborg; not four days march to Petersburgh: the Russian army was in no condition to face the Swedes, and it was confidently said that her majesty of Russia had retired to Novogorod:
