The pulpit of the Presbyterian church was filled yesterday by the Rev. W. A. Stevenson of the Cherry street Presbyterian church of Seattle. Doctor Stevenson is a fine specimen of physical manhood, is a clear thinker and forceful speaker, and possesses an earnestness which impresses one with a feeling of his genuine sincerity. He spoke on the subject of "The Dynamics of Faith," choosing for his text the parable of the mustard seed. His sermon was replete with incident and illustration, and he emphasized the fact that faith to be effective must be centred in the right object and grounded on the principle of eternal truth. He spoke in the evening to a good audience on the subject, "The Goliaths of Today." When Dr. Stevenson again visits Wenatchee he will be welcomed by the large number of friends he has made.
