The Billings Commercial club through President Ray M. Hart, has admitted the loss of its wager with the Helena Commercial club, that Yellowstone county would cast a larger percentage of its vote in favor of good roads measure No. 31 than Lewis and Clark.
The Yellowstone official vote was 6,892 for, and 753 against, or 90.15 in favor. Lewis and Clark voted 5,500 for, and 553 against, a percentage of 90.86, or .71 per cent difference.
According to the terms of the wager, the Billings Commercial club agreed to send a delegation of 100 people to the Montana State fair next September. A similar delegation to the Midland Empire fair at Billings had been promised by Helena in the event that Lewis and Clark county lost.
