Wilmington Chapter of "World Government" Launched

Wilmington's chapter of "World Government" formally was launched yesterday by a group of dozen business and professional men.

First step was the naming of a general chairman and a chairman to handle a speaker's bureau of which speakers will appear before virtually every civic, church, professional and labor group in the city, both men and women, to enlist their support or world-wide peace through an international organization.

The local chapter is one of several score already established throughout the nation and with membership of business, professional, religious and labor leaders.

Named temporary chairman of the Wilmington chapter at a dinner yesterday at the Friendly cafeteria was Robert Dannenbaum, Wilmington chain store manager.

Jesse B. Sellers, insurance man, was placed at the head of the speakers bureau.

Officers decided to open a membership drive July 13 running a week with speakers talking before various groups. Already scheduled are speakers for that week's meeting o the Civitan and Lions club.

Later in the month a general membership meting will be conducted with a nationally-known peace leader appearing.
