Full Text

PLYMOUTH. June 29.

During the whole of the passage of Ostend, Dumourier shewed the most alarming symptoms of fear. The little vessel which conveyed him was well manned and armed, and had a convoy; notwithstanding which the gallant General could not conceal his agitations; and, it is said, was determined, should any attack have been made by a French frigate, or privateer of superior force, to trust to the mercy of the seas, rather than to that of his enraged countrymen. Upon landing, however, he recovered his magnanimity.
