Baked Beans and Music at the Grand Army Hall.
There was a large gathering at Grand Army hall last night, the occasion being an old fashioned bake bean supper and entertainment given by the Sons of Veterans. A most inviting array of viands was displayed on the tables, and all were finely prepared. The boys were assisted by the Ladies' Aid Society, and the ladies in charge of the kitchen were Mrs. Wise, Miss Lille Hawkins and Miss Maggie Forgery.
Dr. Baguley presided over the entertainment, which was admirably given. The Symphony Mandolin and Guitar Club contributed delightful selections. One of the great hits of the evening were the vocal and instrumental solos by Lewis Schwertbach. Miss Lue Haulsins sang and Cari White recited, while Miss Etzler rendered an instrumental solo. The boys in charge of the affair were Burr Watt, Chas. Ephlin and Frank Carlin.
