THE WALWORTH PATRICIDE.
The killing of Mansfield T. Walworth, by his son last week, is creating quite a sensation in New York, at this time. It appears that the wife of Walworth had obtained a divorce some years ago, on the ground of ill treatment and habitual drunkenness. Mrs. Walworth went to Saratoga and opened a young ladies' Seminary. While there she received many insulting and threatening letters from Walworth, charging her with the most infamous conduct. The son came in possession of the letters and was so enraged at the treatment his mother was receiving, that he went immediately to New York, hunted his father down and killed him.
