Full Text

Some of the English papers, as we have previously remarked, are very acrimonious on the subject of the execution of Arbuthnot and his comrade: It is thought by many, that these papers speak the language of the British government, and that some serious difficulty may ensue. We are of a contrary opinion, and incline to the belief that the British government do not wish the subject to be agitated-- When Congress assemble they may think proper to order a publication of the trial If so, we anticipate that such facts will appear as will abundantly prove the justice of the sentence executed upon them.

A writer in the Worcester federal paper, in the true spirit of some "rebel" productions in this town, attempts to assimilate the execution of Arbuthnot and Ambrister with the murder of Pierce and the butchery at Dartmoor! Here is an effort, in our own country, to render the execution of British spies and emissaries equally atrocious with the unprovoked murder of Pierce, and the American prisoners at Dartmoor! Verily, verily, the laborer is indeed worthy of his hire!
