First Apostle Has Given up Holding Public Meetings in Zion City

Prophet Continues to Have Trances.

CHICAGO, May 19.—John Alexander Dowie is contemplating leaving Zion City and taking up his residence at Ben Mac Dhui, his White Lake (Michigan) house. Emil C. Weiten, the "Apostle's" attorney, visited him last night and urged him to make the change. Dowie is living apart from the other members of his family in Shiloh House. He has given up all idea of holding more public meetings in Zion City.

A cross bill filed by the Voliva attorneys at Waukegan declares that Dowie's administration cost the Zion industries $2,500,000.

Affidavits describe hallucinations and trances of the "Prophet" in recent months.
