The third and fourth grades of Buckeye Elementary School held a doll contest last Friday. About 75 dolls were entered.

Prizes in the prettiest doll section were won by Raquel Loudermilk, first; Vesta Gribling, second, and Margaret Brown, third all entering bride dolls.

Prizes in the character doll section were won by Donald Woolridge, a third grade boy, entering an Indian Chief; second prize went to Peggy O'Neill, for a colored mammy doll, and third, to Nova Dickenson, who entered "Dopey"

In the tiniest doll section, Kemp Biddulph won first prize, entering a little doll one half inch long; Jimmie Miller was second with a China doll 1 1/2 inches long. Kemp Biddulph also won third in this group.

In the baby doll group, Carolyn Evans won first, Delores Duarte, second prize, and Blannie Zellner third.

In the oldest doll section, Annette Marionneaux, a third grade girl, entered a doll which was eighty years old, and belonged to her great aunt, still living, in Plaquemine, La. Second prize was won by Shirley Major who entered a doll fifteen years old.

Sweepstakes were won by third grade boy, Kemp Biddulph

Judges of the contest were Mrs. Pyle, Mrs. Jessie Harper and Miss Dorothy Bower.

Mrs. A. A. Whalley, third grade teacher was chairman of the contest.
