There is an art in dressing. It is not so much in how much you pay for what you wear but it is more in how it fits and becomes you. You can pay a large sum of money for a garment but if it does not fit you, it will not look good and on the other hand, if you do not pay much for a thing and it fits you are still dressed up. So it is best to try to select the things that are best suited for you and your complexion. Some people need to study the art of dressing because they do not seem to know how to select the proper color and match in their dress. You study yourself and find out which color or colors that are best suited for you. Some people do not know what color will suit and become them best because they do not study themselves. Do not buy anything just because it is stylish but see if it is suitable for you and your color.
The ladies need to study how to make up their faces that's suitable to their complexions. If your skin is of dark complexion, you should know not to use real light face powder or too much red stuff on your face. You should select your powder according to your color. A dark complexion should use brown skin powder—and a light skin complexion should use light powder and red make up but not too much. I see some ladies with real dark complexion with a great deal of light face powder and a whole lot of red make up on their face. So if we want to look our best, we must study ourselves that we might be able to know the things that are best suited for us. I do not suppose that anybody likes to see a well dressed person better than I but I hate to see anyone all messed up and thinking that he or she is well dressed. What think ye?
