Governor Palliser arrived in Newfoundland from Chateau Bay, met 26 Esquimaux Indians with Moravian preachers, held conferences, showed them the ship, made presents on shore, concluded peace, and opened trade. Plans to meet more next season and encourages merchants. Prevents supplies to St. Peter's, has engineers at St. John's for forts. Sir Thomas Adams returned from Labrador Coast.
