TRUCKEE. Cal., Feb. 7. (UP)
Former convict Clarence Frechette's transcontinental flight with the body of the man he slew last month near Howell. Mich.. ended when police today pried open the trunk of an automobile he was driving and found the body of Robert Brown, Kalamazoo, Mich., trucking contractor.
Frechette admitted the killing. He said Brown was killed in a struggle over a revolver which was caused by an argument over a girl.
Brown was shot twice in the head during the struggle.
Frechette said he had no chance to come clear. so he started to California to catch a boat for the Orient.
