At a regular notified meeting held in this town on Monday last, in the west chamber of the State-House, the town proceeded to return their votes for a President and Five Senators; and at the close of the ballots. the Town-Clerk declared the numbers to be as follow, viz.

For a PRESIDENT.

George Atkinson, Esq. 226; John Langdon, Esq. 58; John Sullivan, Esq. 9; Woodbury Langdon, Esq. 4.

For SENATORS.

Joseph Gilman, Esq. 242; George Atkinson, Esq. 223; Joshua Wentworth, Esq. 207; Samuel Hale, Esq. 159; Christopher Toppan, Esq. 129; John Langdon Esq. 121; Thomas Odiorne, Esq. 71; John Mc Clary, Esq. 48; Woodbury Langdon, Esq. 38; John Bell, Esq. 31

The town then proceeded to the choice of three gentlemen to represent them in General Assembly, the year ensuing; the gentlemen chosen are, George Atkinson, Esq. George Gains, Esq. and John Pickering, Esq.
