Makes Presentation
of Silk Flag to St. Teresa Body.
A large silk flag was presented to the Alumnae Association of St. Teresa's Academy Wednesday evening at the annual reunion and banquet of the organization by Mrs. Fred W. Mollman, wife of the mayor of East St. Louis. The banquet was served in the academy hall and the presentation was made there.
The banquet was marked by war time features with the favor boxes covered with silk flags and place cards decorated with American flags. Hoover strawberry shortcake was served.
Sister M. Salome, superior of studies, and Sister M. Charlotte, secretary of the alumnae, responded to the gift of Mrs. Mollman and told of the high appreciation in which it would be held.
A letter from Miss Helen Kinsella, governor of the Illinois Chapter of the International Federation of Catholic Alumnae, in which the patriotic work of the academy was praised, was read by Sister Charlotte.
Mention was made in the letter of the participation of Mrs. Stephen J. Cashel in the state meeting.
