Council Will Tonight Receive Report of Committee on Sewer Matter.
The city council will tonight receive the report of the committee appointed to investigate the matter of incorporating the D street sewer as a part of the new system. The matter has been most carefully looked into, and the report of the committee will be favorable to maintaining the D street sewer system.
The committee will recommend the construction of two manholes, one at the corner of D and Third streets where the connection with the new system will be made, and the other at the corner of D and Second streets.
The matter was brought to the attention of the council by a lengthy petition from property owners who have made their connections with the D street sewer and do not believe they should be compelled to now make connections with the Main street line.
