National Volunteers.—The National Volunteers held a meeting last night at Burch's Hall, but, in deference to their wishes, we withhold any report of their proceedings.—Constitution.

Were the proceedings of the National Volunteers of so incendiary a character that it was deemed unsafe to give them publicity? Or did they wish it kept secret that an organization existed in the city of Washington, whose avowed purpose and object was the disruption of the Federal Government, the destruction of the public buildings, and armed resistance to the execution of the laws of the land?
