Full Text

The Mail to be Changed at Vinton Station.—Jimmy Lannon, the accommodating hackman and mail carrier between this place and the R. R. Station, informs us that he will hereafter change the mail at Vinton, instead of McArthur Station, the road to the latter place being too bad to admit of his running his hack there. The two points are about the same distance from this place. Passengers going west will not have to pay any more by this change, as tickets can be had at Vinton Station, and this will be a saving of five cents—the conductors charging five cents more to persons who have not purchased tickets before entering the cars. Why tickets were never kept at McArthur Station we do not know. The road to Vinton Station is decidedly the better of the two.
