President Making.—This delightful species of manufacture, is making a very rapid progress throughout the country. To-day we give a flaming description of Clay's reception in New Orleans, where he has pitched his tent for the winter. Old Harry is certainly going ahead—and the "family jars" of the democrats help him along wonderfully. The Van Buren and Calhoun men, are also very busy in Mobile, in Tuscaloosa, in Georgia, in North Carolina, in Philadelphia, and elsewhere. All these are merely specks in the horizon. The great contest is a long way ahead. Mr. Clay's chance certainly is improving.
