Poised to register the largest Democratic vote ever to be recorded by Negroes for President Roosevelt in the history of Fulton County, members of the Citizens Democratic Club of Fulton County will stage a mammoth Mass-Meeting and political rally here next Thursday night, November 2, at the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Rev. M. L. King, pastor.
A. T. Walden, eminent Atlanta lawyer and President of Georgia Association of Citizens Democratic Clubs, has been chosen as the principal speaker, according to Rev. L. J. Baptiste, program chairman, while E. M. Martin, Secretary of the Atlanta Life Insurance Company and noted civic leader, will present the appeal for a record-breaking vote of confidence to keep Roosevelt in Washington for the good of the Negro, for the growth and expansion of the nation and for the peace and security of the world.
C. A. Scott, President of the Citizens Democratic Club, emphasized the extreme importance of the registered Negroes turning out next Thursday night in order that they may get a clear and complete picture of the Roosevelt administration and the God-send it is for Negro and other minority groups throughout the length and breadth of this country.
