AN ECHO OF THE STRIKE.
An echo of the late American Railway Union Strike of 1894 was heard in a Chicago court recently. The blacklist established by some of the railroads was hit hard and the jury returned a verdict of $21,666.33 in favor of Fred K. Ketham.
Ketham was a conductor employed by the Northwestern railroad. He joined the strikers, and was blacklisted. He established the fact that he could not obtain permanent employment on account of the blacklist. His suit took nearly three weeks for trial and was terminated last Friday.
