PORTLAND, Oregon, Feb. 26.
In this morning's Oregonian appears a call for an Independent State Convention, issued by the Douglas County Convention, to be held at Salem on the 15th of April. In some of the counties the Independent movement is already inaugurated, and thus contemplate an election of delegates to a State Convention. In others only the nomination of local tickets. The call for the State Convention makes a provision for these differences, so that delegates may be chosen by the convention already called. Douglas county nominated a full Independent legislative and county ticket on Saturday. Benton and Lane counties have issued calls for county conventions.
