Casualty.--A man by the name of Levi Liscomb, was accidentally killed by the discharge of his own gun on Tuesday last, while engaged in a squirrel hunt in the south part of Cherry Valley. The singular conduct of his hounds, who after howling some time, returned, and his not arriving at the place appointed for counting the game, induced a search; and about midnight his body was discovered a few rods distant from the spot where it is supposed the charge took effect. After crawling that distance, and making several abortive attempts to staunch the wound with his handkerchief and the tow used for wadding, he became completely exhausted (judging from appearances) with loss of blood. The charge entered his breast rather towards his left side.
