LONDON, May 9.

It is reported that one particular great man, has this week won upwards of 20,000 l. by betting upon his own horse ; (which contrary to most of the Knowing ones opinions) gained one of the prizes at Newmarket races, and that another nobleman lost 15,000 l. on the occasion.

The Yorkshire club, who last year were taken in at Newmarket have, it is said, this year availed themselves 10,000 l. on Bay Malton.

A butcher in a market in the West of this metropolis, has won 9,000 l. by the great horse race at Newmarket Races.

A noble Lord, we hear, will shortly take a tour to the continent, and stay abroad till he has recovered his losses at the present Newmarket meeting, by a prudent observance of Economy.

We hear that 1200 Guineas Were offered last Newmarket Meeting for the famous Horse Bay Malton, the Property of the Marquis of Rockingham, and refused.
