Nomination for Governor of N. York.--A meeting for the Republican electors of old "Suffolk" (Long Island) was held on the 10th inst. at which resolutions were adopted, nominating Francis Granger for the office of Governor, and recommending him to the support of the people of New York at the ensuing election. The New York American says, Gen. Root is making interest with a view to the same office. The present incumbent, (Mr. Throop) will of course have the regency influence at the Herkimer Convention.--There are therefore three in the field.--Baltimore Patriot.
