PHILADELPHIA, AUG. 27.

A correspondent says, he is sorry to find that the indignation of some citizens is so greatly excited by the newspaper pellets fired from the antifederal magazines of lies at an illustrious character. A little reflection will convince them that he who encountered so many leaden dangers in defence of the liberties of his country and mankind, has a shield that the envenomed malice of earth and hell united, cannot penetrate.

Faction is at its last gasp. The phrenzy that urges them to attack the political character of the father of his country, shews this. How much safer would it be to commence Knights errant and encounter windmills at once!
