The Lieutenant Governor of the Colonies of Essequibo, Demerara and Berbice, and their dependencies, has issued his proclamation, dated Nov. 13, 1800, by which it appears, that in consequence of the Yellow Fever being prevalent in the United States, no vessel from any port of America shall sail up to any of the aforesaid harbors, till she has been examined by the health officers; and if, after performing a quarantine of twenty days, she shall prove to be in a healthy state, then a permit will be given, and she may enter the port. No communication will be allowed with the shore during that time. Ha, ha, be!
