Four Boys Steal Two Automobiles
Four boys who escaped from the Florida Industrial School for Boys in Marianna stole two automobiles in an escape attempt which was finally stopped in Cross City yesterday.
The first car stolen belonged to a Marianna man and was recovered in Quincy Wednesday morning. The boys had left the car and threw the keys away. One tire had been lost and the wheel almost ruined.
The second car stolen shortly after the first one was abandoned, belonged to E. T. Richards, of Quincy, and was recovered in Cross City.
Patrolman V. C. Allen who found the first car said two of the boys were from Miami, one from Tampa and one from Lakeland.
