THE WORLD AHEAD.
We saw a list of occupations for young people
the other day. It contained a list of nearly 400
different kinds of work which a young man
or woman might follow.
It is a great world for young people, this pres-
ent day. There is use for any and every kind of
activity and inclination. If you would look un-
der the ground for minerals or fly the skies
the opportunity is yours. There is chance as an
artist, a mechanic, a student. A wonderfully
diverse civilization has so many requirements.
A great nation must have so much done for it.
The whole problem is to fit ourselves to the
tasks for which we are best fitted. With so
many things to do, we perhaps do not look over
the entire field of human activities.
The young person, just embarking in life
should look around for a bit. Somewhere there
is a task which has an appeal to activity and
interest and at which the worker will achieve
success.
Talk about opportunity-modern days have
brought ten opportunities where our fathers
had one.
That is not only encouraging, it is inspiring.
