Nome Brass Band Starts Its Winter Practice Tonight

With new music and an excellent set of band drums, the Nome Brass Band is digging in for strenuous winter practice beginning this evening, at 7:30 o'clock.
Director Carpenter intends to drill the band and hints disclosed there may be some excellent musicals and auditions during the coming winter. The band members are to be congratulated for their untiring efforts during the summer to maintain regular practices and keep the organization alive during the period when most musicians are at work in other fields.
They stated that a public appeal is being made to enlist every possible musician in Nome in the work of building up the Nome Brass Band.
