Some private Letters from Corsica advise, that M. Simon Trabiani, one of the Chiefs of the Malecontents, was murdered in the Territory of Arezzo, by the Relations of M. Luciani, because he was thought to be instrumental in causing the last named Gentleman to be shot; upon Pretence of his holding a Correspondence with the Genoese. 'Tis added, that the Lord Theodore being dissatisfied with the Conduct of Pievano Aielli, Marc Aurelio Raphaeli, Hyacinthus Pauli, and some other Chiefs of the Rebels, had resolved to put them under Arrest; but that those Chiefs, having Notice thereof, mustered together their Friends and Adherents against the Lord Theodore; so that a third Faction is formed in that Island.
