Berea Play Gets Started In Third Season Of "Road"

BEREA, KY. - Rehearsals for the third season of Wilderness Road got under way Monday morning, June 10, in Berea. In the total company of 85 actors, singers, dancers and technicians, 41 are new this season. Sam Selden, the pioneer director of the Outdoor Historical Drama, has returned for his third season.

The Technical Director is John Cauble of Maryville, Tennessee. The new Costumer is Susan Gullberg of Tucson, Arizona, and the new Lighting Director is John Lafferty who moves up to that position from assistant technical director last season. Special emphasis on new costumes and a redesigning of lighting on the interior scenes are the changes planned to make the third season production brighter and better.
