Responding to an invitation from State Parole Board members, Messrs. Meyer Skoog and George M. Wilson were welcomed guests attending regularly scheduled parole hearings held here on Wednesday of this week. Mr. Meyer Skoog? Whozzat? Perhaps no further information would be required if he were simply introduced as: Mr. WHITEY Skoog, (Oh-ho! so now we know, already!) whom most everyone would immediately recognize as being the personable, sharp-shooting guard on the Minneapolis Laker basketball team. Now, Mr. George M. Wilson whozzee? Well, although his name may not be as readily familiar as is Whitey's to most people, Mr. Wilson, too, has attained a measurable renown in his chosen endeavor. Likeable, learned and dedicated, he is the business manager of the Billy Graham Association of Minneapolis. In slightly differing ways, both visitors openly expressed a degree of amazement at the thoroughness with which the Board prepares for and considers each individual case. They were impressed, too, by the Board's evident concern regarding each man's post-release success. Before leaving, these eminent guests voiced their personal interest and willingness to be helpful here in every permissible way.
