AT WOODSTOCK ACADEMY GYMNASIUM
Second annual Basketball Clinic for Northeastern Connecticut will be held next Monday night at 7:30 p. m. in Woodstock Academy gym under direction of Thomas Michelson, director of athletics at that institution.
Through kindness of Wendell Mansfield, coach and director of athletics at Pomfret School, motion pictures of Adolf Rupp's outstanding Kentucky University quintet will be filmed.
Rules, changes and interpretations of 1947-48 will be in charge of Gene Kozlowski of Rockville, a member of the Eastern Connecticut Board of Approved Officials.
A discussion of fundamentals and demonstration of techniques will be in charge of Russ Granger, former star and now coach at Clark University in Worcester, Mass. It is expected he will be aided by members of his varsity squad. Granger started his coaching career a few years ago at Bacon Academy in Colchester and is well known in this area. He was an outstanding defensive player in his under-graduate days.
The clinic director advised the program is open to all players and fans in this area. No admission will be charged.
